This year’s ornament is inspired by the intricately woven straw stars of Northern Europe.

My goal was to reimagine this centuries-old weaving tradition in metal. As per MeritMade standards, each wire is individually soldered, hammered, and arranged in the radiant geometry found in this winter craft.

Both the historical stars and this modern metal interpretation carry the same symbolism of light, luck, and the turning of the season.

This ornament is offered as a small-batch pre-order. Due to limited materials, I will be making just 5 in sterling silver and 36 in copper. Each one will be hand-fabricated in a single production run and shipped in time for holiday gifting.
